Genuine horn-rimmed glasses made from buffalo horn – a statement of nature, craftsmanship and character

What exactly are horn-rimmed glasses?

Many people talk about horn-rimmed glasses , but they only mean the look. At Campbell, we use real buffalo horn. No plastic, no imitation, no compromise.
Genuine horn-rimmed glasses are made from the horn of Asian water buffaloes—a natural material that is as rare as it is distinctive. Grains, lines, and shades: Each of our horn frames is unique, grown rather than cast.

Horn is not only particularly lightweight and skin-friendly—it also wears differently. Warmer than metal, finer than acetate. And over time, it develops a patina that can't be replicated—only experienced.

For women, for men – for people with attitude.

Our horn-rimmed glasses collection is not designed by gender, but by face.
Many models are unisex —deliberately minimalist in design, with clean lines. And because no two face shapes are the same, all frames are available in several sizes .
Whether striking or delicate, round or rectangular – at Campbell, you won't find just any horn-rimmed glasses. You'll find them yours.

How does Campbell make horn-rimmed glasses?

Buffalo horn grows like fingernails—layer by layer, year after year. It's made of keratin , a natural, durable protein.
The horn comes exclusively from farm animals – it is obtained after their natural death or from responsible husbandry.

In a precise, artisanal process, the material is soaked, pressed into sheets, and then milled into frames by our specialists – with patience, experience, and a steady hand.
The best pieces come from the middle section of the horn – where the structure is densest and the grain most beautiful.

How do you care for horn-rimmed glasses?

Horn is alive. It changes over time—that's what makes it so fascinating.
To keep it beautiful, you don’t need chemicals, but respect:

No salt water, no aggressive cleaning agents.

If the surface becomes too dull, it can be professionally refinished – of course, we can do it for you.

Important: Horn is sturdy, but less flexible than plastic. Glazing requires experts, not hobbyists . Inexperienced hands can ruin a horn frame.

How much do horn-rimmed glasses cost?

Genuine handcraft, rare materials, individual customization – that comes at a price.
